Define a New Japan x Vietnam Business Collaboration (Version 2.0) From Philosophy Creation to Practical Application

On October 1, 2025, at Hollywood University in Tokyo, Japan, within the framework of the 60th anniversary of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh, the Founding Chairman of the GKM Finest Management Institute, presented a breakthrough solution for global enterprise management and announced a new generation international business collaboration model between Vietnam and Japan: “New International Business Collaboration 2.0”

The event attracted the participation of many high-ranking figures and distinguished scholars of Japan, including Chairman Yamanaka of the Association, Professor Kenichi Ohno and professors from GRIPS University, Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Kunio Umeda, Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Yushita Hiroyuki, as well as leaders of major corporations, enterprises, researchers, and practitioners from Japan.

I. Vietnam’s Answer to the Global Management Disruption

In his in-depth presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh analyzed the reality of contemporary management, pointing out the fractures and inherent difficulties in corporate governance. According to GKM’s research, the fundamental cause of the challenges faced by large enterprises worldwide, including those in Japan, is the absence of a substantive Gene System and the absence of a management technology that operates in accordance with the true principles of nature.

In response to this reality, The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology has been proposed as the solution for the sustainable development of each enterprise worldwide. At the same time, this technology serves as the answer for building strong collaborative linkages between Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises in particular, as well as enterprises across the globe in general.

II. Building the Collaboration Model 2.0: An Equal Platform Based on the Made in Vietnam Gene System

The strategic highlight of the conference was the announcement of the model “New International Business Collaboration 2.0.” This represents a new development, opening an era of equal and solid collaboration.

1. Why Japan Needs the 2.0 Model

The previous model (Collaboration 1.0) often placed Japanese enterprises in the role of the teacher—bringing in management methods and technology—while Vietnam mainly provided low-cost labor. However, reality since 1991 has shown that Japanese companies face great difficulties in transferring management knowledge to local employees, since each nation requires its own contextualized approach.

The Collaboration 2.0 Model addresses this problem by placing Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises on a common foundation: The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology  and The Made in Vietnam Finest Educational Technology.

Vietnamese enterprises contribute creativity, the capacity for Finest management, and the quality of their human capital.

Japanese enterprises contribute technical expertise, discipline, and accumulated experience.

The crucial difference is that Vietnamese enterprises, once restructured under the GKM approach, naturally align with Japan’s existing tools (such as 5S, Kaizen, etc.). This eliminates the need for Japanese companies to make special efforts to train and guide local employees.

2. The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology and the Philosophy of Creation

At the core of The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology lies the resolution of management problems from the root: human beings, starting with Gene 1: Management of Tâm Thế. Professor Kenichi Ohno observed that replicating the Japanese model without adjusting it to Vietnam’s specific context would not yield results, and that cultivating Tâm Thế among Vietnamese people is of utmost importance.

The The Made in Vietnam Finest Management Technology proven in practice and recognized by the international academic community—opens a new pathway, inspiring a collaborative model that is human-centered, solid, and oriented toward a brighter shared future for Vietnam and humanity.
